I never really experienced distance learning in the sense that I never had to travel very far just to get to my school when I was still a student. For this, I will forever consider myself lucky. I know a lot of students who had to hike for hours in the wee hours of the morning just to get to school on time. They travel the same distance to get home. There are also a lot who had to work part-time just to earn enough money to be able to enrol in night-class. We all have our own roads to choose. Still, it's not the distance that we've travelled which matters but the friends we have made and the things we learned along the way. Link: How Far Do You Travel To Your Distance Learning Doctora

There are a lot of bachelor degree holders who want to pursue their education to graduate schools. Majority of the graduates accept bachelor degree graduate and credit some, but not all, subjects taken. Basically it would depend on the applicant's GPA, GRE, essays and recommendations. Hi people! I am an ESL teacher and I have been teaching English to Koreans for the past three years. They stay in Korea While I stay here in the Philippines. We call it a distance learning. We just use Skype to see each other everyday. I really like it because you can teach even just staying at home. And all you just need is a computer with video and headset . Thank you so much.Link: What experience do you have with a distance learning gr

I am a Music teacher and I can say that it is really necessary to include Music education the curriculum. It is a way of teaching students in order to be aware of their culture in relation to music. In fact, music is a basic part human's life. Many people put major value for traditional and contemporary music. It is a great privilege for me to teach Music Education and I am passionate enough to encourage my students to participate in music-related activities in the school. They enjoy it and they appreciate it much.Link: Why Music Education Belongs in Public Schools; Schools

The most important lesson I've learned from my favorite college professor is that I shouldn't stop of learning and improving myself for more opportunities to come knocking on my doors. He urged me to enter grad school but I think that being a resident to an institution will affect my plans, family and finances. Maybe if there's a distance learning program that will suit my goals. Should distance learning graduate program be accredited? If it is accredited, that would be ideal because it certifies the quality of education of the school. However, it is not an easy process. There are curriculum, real study and performance requirements to meet. It may not just take a year but a couple of years to achieve accreditation. The inspection team from the Education Department are critical and meticulous in making sure that the school is able to meet the quality standards. If not, adjustments by the school need to be made until finally the school is granted accreditation. Link: What accreditation is adequate for a distance learning
