When you are choosing an on line distance learning doctoral program, it is a good idea to make sure the degree program has accreditation. This means that you should be sure that the university you choose has recognition among other degree granting institutions.
Oxford Graduate School is fully accredited by Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). On November 4, 2008, OGS was awarded its fully accredited status as a Category IV institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission. It had been operating previously with provisional accreditation.
TRACS is recognized by the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the Department of Education (USDE) of the United States.
OGS is also fully authorized for operation as postsecondary educational institution by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. Oxford Graduate School has been in operation since 1983 and has been in continual complience with those state requirements in each of its annual reviews by the Commission.
This all means that the distance learning doctoral degree offered by OGS is fully recognized by state and federal education agencies, and by educational accreditation councils. The doctoral degree awarded by OGS is fully recognized in the USA.
