Oxford Graduate School is a distance learning graduate program. One of the requirements for graduation is a series of one-week residencies on campus in Dayton, TN.
There are six of these one-week residencies and they are designated as Core 1 through Core 6. In each of the Core weeks, students attend classes in 5, 6, or 7 of the Core courses which are offered in that particular Core.
The Core courses are organized into categories of:
Communication
Philosophy
Leadership
Research Methodology
There are two Reading and Research Seminars which are required for the doctoral program. Each is one week long. One is a trip to the Bodleian Library at the University of Oxford in UK. The other is to the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. These two seminars are in addition to the six Core residency weeks at OGS.
Depending on your own schedule and your own pace, you can normally complete the residency and seminar course requirements for this doctoral program in 2 to 4 years. It might take another 1 to 3 years to complete your dissertation.
